I'm sick of cape shit so no idea. I'll let some trusted reviewers give it a look like I do with most everything. Going in day 1 is like pre-ordering games
But muh capeshit! How will you survive if you don't watch 2 hours of cgi fight scenes, 13 year old edgey Deadpool humor (politically correct of course), and miss the good guy winning at the end!?
It's doesn't get too political other than Deadpool being half gay for Wolverine. If anything it's so full of fan service that it feels predatory, like jiggling keys in front of a baby. Seriously, they dug up characters that were written off a decade or more ago. They dug up the old Fox/New Line cast. I won't elaborate.
That's the gist of it. It's an excuse to tie these random characters together. It's funny, it takes a few shots at Disney. I didn't despise it and no real alarms went off, so I'd rate it a safe watch, but not necessarily a clean one in terms of not feeling pandered to. If you liked the other Deadpool movies, you'll enjoy it just fine.
Everyone has been saying it's good. Probably the best MCU film in many years. The problem is that the way I hear people describing it is that it's full of member berries. There's a lot of talk about "I can't believe [insert hero] is in the movie" and less about the story. Which worries me. I want a good story not "member this guy?" It's dumb.
That's also what I've heard. Probably also why RDJ is going to be in the new Dr. Doom film (not that I care, I am fully off the MCU train at this point).
All the reviews I've been mentioned the same thing, it's fun but has the weakest story of all the Deadpool movies. Probably has to to with the convoluted stakes. First movie was a simple revenge story, second one introduced time travel and a post-apocalyptic timeline, but that still worked because it was framed around another simple revenge story. This third one has multiverse bullshit and a villain that threatens all reality or whatever.
Just saw it. It was very entertaining and everyone in the theater loved it. It’s about the most meta non serious movie you’ll get and is generally about the marvel franchises and is decently funny and action packed. It mostly makes fun of the marvel movies and brings Jackman back in hilarious fashion. And others you wouldn’t expect.
If you want meta humor making fun of all things marvel with Dead Pool and Wolverine fighting everything including each other in bloody fashion as everyone in the theater laughs, it’s your film. Fun movie to see in the theaters. It’s not really a narrative movie so much as a commentary on all the marvel universes and the current state of them and how Disney made a mess of them. A lot of it’s a love letter to the old X Men films that got dropped.
It's decent. It's full of contrived plot points, over the top Ryan Reynolds dialogue, plot armor, deus ex machina: all the stuff you expect from a Deadpool movie. It's an excuse to get two of the world's favorite superhero stars into movie again and provide some fan service.
I laughed, i didn't feel like it was a waste of time. A couple of the cameos were actually pretty awesome IMO. It may have been slightly too long, but that could also be the 44 oz theater soda I drank. I'd give it a 7/10. It's not going to revive the shitty Disney MCU, because Deadpool is outside of that. One and done. But it's worth a watch.
It was entertaining in the way a concert or theater production would be.
I liked it but will probably never watch it again.
I attribute 100% of its quality to the personal effort of Ryan Reynolds and none of it to Disney Marvel.
Unfortunately it will let Disney fund a lot more of their usual garbage.
It kinda fills the same space that the Spiderman crossover did? A loose story as an excuse to bring out member berries? I haven't seen it but have heard it's the best Marvel movie in years. That just sounds like it was a half-way competent film.
Seems like the only a one time thing, though. They got the two most popular Marvel characters and mashed them together into meta-comedy. If they do it again, it will be a tired rehash and if they try it with different characters, it inherently will just be less popular. Last dying gasp of the capeshit genre?
Maybe worth one watch for the action and jokes if you dont pay for it. But has not much rewatchability for me. Too much marvel shit in there from the Loki series like the time cops, story is ass and the cameos dont really matter either. Overall I rather rewatch deadpool1 or logan than watching this again. At least deadpool1 had some female eyecandy for the male audience. This one only for women.

What percentage of dominant big boss genes do you have?
I'll watch it - but it won't get a cent out of me

Must sail fare you say? I can
digswashbuckle it."Dig" still works for pirates, given the buried treasure motif.
Too passive, but true

It’s pretty good. No anti-white woke shit like other Marvel movies.
If it doesn't show us Kevin Feige being hung, drawn and quartered, I am not watching it in the theatres.
I only know about it because of this dumb shit https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2024/07/17/deadpool-wolverine-xbox-controller-deadpool-design/
and the five seconds of entertainment I got from wondering when the Black Widow version comes out.

That's what I understood by reading some stuff on it, I had no clue what was going on. Multiverse stuff just doesn't work outside of comics.

I blacklisted Disney, but as far as wokeness goes I heard murmuring about it having little to no woke value.
Everyone else seems to have indicated that, also the marketing for that film was horrendous with the retarded Xbox controllers.
I won't know until it's on PirateBay
This is how I find out what slop is currently on the screens. Politics are a bloodsport right now, are you not entertained?
I prefer to be a man child and consume more cartoon life action remakes.

Mindless fun. If you ever read Deadpool you know what to expect.
Slop. It's a rare gem to find a decent movie post 2020.

does wolverine have his mask or not?
Yeah, he has it. Doesn't wear it full time though.
The trailer didn't make me want to watch it at all and I don't intend to.
My backlog of likely half-decent content to watch is packed already.
Might watch it on a streaming site if based people review it and it sounds good and low on wokeness.

I think Blake Lively being Lady Deadpool is lame as fuck
