It would have to be a massive catalyst, too. If the right tries to go the non lone-wolf route, and tries to organize some sort of resistance?

Oh no! Mysteriously, as it turns out, the left has spent the last decade+ entrenching themselves in the FBI (and Homeland Security, and now the Secret Service, and...), and has already shown - multiple times - that they have weaponized the entire institution, and that they simply declare any political groups they don't like, "homegrown terrorists", and use the power of government to crack down on them.

It's going to be pretty revealing to see more people on this side finally come to the realization - just like they were late, and joked about the leftists in education, and leftists in the media - of how bad of an idea it was to let the radical left infest the government as well.

Just as an aside, isn't it strange how - since 2020ish - they have been doing their absolute best to drive anyone with non-leftist politics out of the police, and out of the military? They have basically made it so that no sane person wants to be a cop anymore, and COVID - with the use of the vaccine mandates - was this incredible tool for identifying, and discharging people with strong conservative beliefs? It's almost like the left realized that, if their revolution ever goes "hot", they can't afford to have the police and military filled with their political opponents? Nah...
