Imagine playing chess and refusing to touch your opponents pawns, while your opponent takes yours without reservation. Could the #1 chess player in the world beat the 100th playing that way? Could they even beat a child who barely knew the rules of chess?
You can’t convert pawns to your side in chess, but in real life, the majority of people ally with the herd rather than any specific shepherd
