It does except:

Anal sodomy in general is less common with M/F pairs.
Infected women can't then go on to perform penetration and pass it along to the next person in the chain.

My point was mostly that even monogamous gay men could easily get various infections just from their standard sexual habits, regardless of HIV infections.
