If you really want to do tabletop RPGs, look up BFRPG (Basic Fantasy Roleplaying Game). It's free to download and has a fuckton to player made content that is supported by the dev. Made to mimic the feel of classic RPGs.
BFRPG is essentially a 3.0 core pared waaaaaaay back to approximate BECMI/ b/x as much as possible. OSRIC is going to feel completely different, but since you're asking, I'm assuming you know how 1e 'feels'.
All of the BFRPG products are easily worth what you'd pay for the printed copies on Amazon. Great value for the money.

Looking at this now. Any opinion on this vs OSRIC?

Never tried OSRIC so I can't comment there, but BFRPG was a weekly staple when I was younger. Super easy to run, easy to homebrew for, nice art too.
