If you think that's bad, check out the French team. There was a point in their last game where they had 10 black players on the field out of 11, and the final player's last name was Hernandez.
A far bigger problem that I'm seeing is people flying flags of other countries. Normally I'm up for a bit of boisterous nationalism, but these pricks are flying foreign flags on Canada Day. For a stupid soccer game, which nobody even cares about normally, played by imported Africans.
I assume anyone pulling this in the States on the 4th was summarily shot. Keep your gun laws strong, kids.
The selection is meritocratic. There's no room in sports for politics. This is just what happens with mass immigration.
Why so many blacks? As with most things the answer is genetics. You don't see tons of arabs on the team even though there's way more of them in France than blacks.
Why are blacks so good at endurance and running, and so low on impulse control and IQ? To get to the root of that you'd need a honest academia to research it, instead of actively doing anything in their power to subvert, hide, and sabotage anything that could even hint at some truth, so in other words we'll probably never know.
It's about as meritocratic as all those africans and arabs winning Miss pageants in Europe.
Soccer clubs are effectively establishment NGOs. They're constantly preaching leftist politics and "fighting against the right". Soccer is part of their propaganda. In Germany for example the far-left, antifa-supporting minister of the interior is also minister of sports, complete with rainbow armband.
If you think anything about that is organic, I have a bridge to sell you. Bread and games to normalize replacement.
You're not wrong, but I think when it comes to winning they will do anything, inc. picking the best players. Look at Man City for instance, the best team in the world. Mostly just white people.
Out of the top 15 football players there are like 4 maybe 5 black guys depending on how you consider Neymar. Or how England lost to Italy last Euro despite Italy having 0 diversity.
France having so many black players is odd and their performance so far has been less then great. They managed to get to quarter finals without scoring once and they were 0 0 with Portugal and won on penalties.
They may actually win with the lamest game performance ever.
I agree with the second half of your comment, but in regard to the first, if selection were purely meritocratic then players like Karim Benzema would've played for France their whole careers. Going the other way, without politics, a player like Marcus Thuram would never make the French squad. He's only there because of his famous footballing father and is woefully inadequate compared to the rest of the squad.
Also FYI, there are some extremely talented Arab players, but France can often tap up players from its territories and former colonies and those are dominated by blacks. Many black players declare for France despite not being born in France proper. Some of the best "French" players of all time were actually born in places like Zaire (e.g., Claude Makelele).
Is it, though? There's a lot that can be fudged. You can have DEI initiatives to get "underrepresented" people into positions such as coaches. Refs can be made to look the other way for select players and to focus on others. More subtly, rules can be added or removed that indirectly favor one race over another - I've heard basketball is notorious for this, but you'd have to ask someone more knowledgeable for specifics.
The general manager chooses the roster, what Americans would think of as the head coach. For England it's Gareth Southgate, for France it's Didier Deschamps.
I would disagree, I feel that teams should represent their respective areas (nation, state, city, etc) and see things like this as nothing more than more 'diversity' pandering that throws away their identity in favor of 'inclusion' (which is just a bullshit term to exclude whoever you hate).
I kind of followed a bit, out of curiosity and what I noticed is that some countries that had teams reflecting of their country had much more passionate fans then teams that represented their country in name only. Turkey or Romania in this case.
Granted I only watched a few games and even those it was running in the background. Turkey vs Austria was the only game I actually enjoyed.
I don't watch football, I don't like football.! But I know enough to know they are utterly infested with "the message". Back when the ffloyed riots where happening I distinctly remember them all on their knees.
Players are picked based on politics, just like models, beauty pageant winners, etc. All in the service of "the message". Soccer is no different. Bread and games have always been propaganda for the establishment.
The investors are their respective Western governments, corporations who push DEI and NGOs who demand "diversity".
Fans who complain get smeared by politicians and the media. German media only recently ran a campaign how racist German fans are because they want more native representation.
Soccer organizations don't care either. They're being led by people loyal to the ideology. As long as they're loyal they still get money bei DEI corporations, leftist governments and mainstream media. Seriously, here in Germany they're basically leftist NGOs.
The only thing that could threaten them is if people stopped watching but the media takes care of that by pushing their games and calling anyone who might complain a racist. You don't want to be a racist, do you? So be a good citizen and consume!
Unironically, there is a link. Because wouldn't you know it... the genes that impact color expression in the coat aren't limited to just that but also performance and even behavior. They're not like humans where everyone is totally equal despite obvious genetic differences /s

I know what you mean, and I agree.

Government sport ministers have nothing to do with professional clubs. You think they're picking worse players on purpose?
Yes. Professional clubs are absolutely completely in line with leftist ideology.
You're not wrong, but I think when it comes to winning they will do anything, inc. picking the best players. Look at Man City for instance, the best team in the world. Mostly just white people.
Look at the Toronto Maple Leafs. Haven't won the cup in over 60 years, but they're still one of the most lucrative franchises in the NHL.
It's all pro wrestling at the end of the day.
Yes

A microcosm for the Black experience in the West.

Benzema's an 'odd' case though. What a story!

Coaches are in charge of player trials and selection, I would think.

Should be 100% White.

At least some polish fans made them look like idiots for doing it.

NOTHING about that is organic.
Imagine thinking governments care about large sums of money being at stake.
