Idk boys season 1 was great. I expected Mary Sue garbage but didn't find that to be the case.
It's a very high effort show as far as the style, world building, story work, voice acting, etc.
Sure, vi is a "girlboss" but they also put a lot of preamble into explaining why she is.
Cait meanwhile can't even walk through the streets without catching a few rape attempts. Jinx likewise is a fucked up little whore who happened to get chosen by the manboss of the show as his little project thot.
Riot also has a history of telling leftists to fuck themselves cuz they put their female champs into little slut outfits with their tits hanging out and showing off their asses.
I'm hyped for season 2 and the style will continue with more champion stories, which more than likely will involve male characters (Nasus/renekton, graves/TF). And more worlds - Demacia, Ionia. Which all have their own characteristics.
This one's easy to hate because it's girls, but it's also easy to see why they chose vi/jinx as the premiere for this storytelling style.
I have girl boss fatigue. I don’t really care how “well written” or “well explained” the girl bossness is. I’m just tired of female protagonists in general.
Ill accept that a lot of this sub wont give Arcane the time of day given what it sells at face value.
It is a shame though because it really is a good show in a time when nearly every show is absolute dog ass, and it did so with laborious hand-drawn animations and no AI.
It's how people continue to accept what comes next in the woke line-up of agenda pushing.
People already accepting it will defend it wholeheartedly because they don't want to be told they're wrong, and have -- in some way -- either found a community for which they have bonded over this media, or have accepted that the messaging is fine because the media appears to be good.

Arcane was good, whether or not season 2 will be trash is up in the air.
Riot is determined to carve their own space in the entertainment industry, and they do so without any esg money. I think it's something that should be celebrated by this sub.
They have in the past clashed with the woke left and basically told the tards that "it's our own fantasy world and this is what you get, fuck off" in response to them receiving backlash over the fact they add fan-service slut costumes for their female champions in League of Legends.
There will be future stories in the arcane universe and they more than likely will involve all the male characters from their games. Maybe it's unfortunate they chose Vi/Cait/Jinx as their premiere but that's about the most I can say.
I wouldn't go that far lol. None of the other female characters are like Vi and they do try at the least to make it believable. The other main character fails to be as good as her peers in her chosen field and the other other main character is what amounts to a crack whore.
One female character strips naked in front of a male character in a Weinstein-esque display of dominance just for the sake of making him uncomfortable.
Another keeps a house husband who behaves like a meek little nanny. He and his daughter are also race-swapped for no reason save diversity points.
Female characters get the snot beaten out of them, show themselves to be terrible people, fail spectacularly, get absolutely humiliated, etc. Arcane isn't a simp show full of Mary Sues who effortlessly girlboss over the incompetent male characters. There are very competent and sympathetic male characters and female characters who get humbled and have to learn from wise male mentors.
IMO the writing was mid, though the world-building and some of the characters were pretty good. But compared to the usual Netflix slop the writing was stellar.
And the animation was the real selling point. I get being turned off by the California mental illness haircuts, and I'm disappointed in a French studio adopting such a profoundly unappealing aesthetic. Frogs are degenerate as hell, but their degeneracy at least tends to have good taste, can't imagine why they'd adopt that kind of tacky proglodyte trash.
But at the end of the day, while I understand being repelled by what's on the surface, it's important to pick your battles. If normies, centrists, and the like end up enjoying this show, autistically screeching at it will just validate the equivalence that fence-sitters like the Act M'am draw between us and SJWs.
