"I liked being surrounded by different ethnic backgrounds and races and diverse viewpoints"
You were told this was a good thing™, that you were a good person™ for accepting it.
It was never a good thing, you were never a good person for accepting it.
At one point it was carefully curated to ensure only the best face was put on it. Now, like OP says, it's totally out of hand.
Diversity isn't strength, it's a side effect of meritocracy. If you want the best you'll need to take the highly skilled from every culture. This is manageable if they're a minority, but if you bring in every dingbat and schitzo diversity is a massive detriment to society.
Different cultures don’t magically become compatible because someone is a doctor. All mass immigration is invasion. Selling out your countryman so number can go up is traitor behavior no different than facilitating Muslim takeover.
I don’t want the best of every culture. I want 100% of MY culture.
The melting pot was a good analogy. You want chilli, you don't want a bowl full of onions picked out of the chilli.
Indian food fucking sucks. There I said it
Oh stop. Indian food is awesome, as are most of the famous ethnic cuisines (Thai, French, Italian, Tex-Mex etc).
But, in the words of Rowan Atkinson... we have the recipes (1:20)
Growing up with a lot of turks I gotta say: I can live without lamachun being easily available when it means less /no turks.
People like that were 100% blind to the issue or told by their parents to just be nice about it. Isn't it even in our DNA to want to be close to our tribe and not have anyone outside it close?
