They're Fabian Socialists specifically. To be honest, that makes them closer to Fascists to actual Old Left Communists who would prefer to seize all property under state power. The Fabians are Syndicalists.
Fascism requires Syndicalist economics. Communism never embraced Syndicalism, and instead was much more top-down in control than the Syndicalists ever were.
Oh that's a relief.
I mean, it doesn't because it means that unlike other Socialists, they make it much harder to root out. Fabians understand subtlety, where most Leftists don't.
To be honest, I think they're still susceptible to a catastrophic collapse all the same; so a complete victory is much more likely than it would be against many other ideological opponents.
