They'd have had an endless income stream if they had done just that and churned out mediocre content that respected the source material. But, just like everything else it must be infused with idpol and feminism.
If I had the golden ticket I would just have used the EU paid some writers to write more in that area and basically make movies and series out of some of them like Darth Band I always bring out when it comes to Star Wars adaptions. Bane is one of my all time favorites and a movie series would've been amazing if done faithfully.
They pissed it ALL away, you had the golden goose, the donkey that shits gold nuggets and they just threw it all in the trash. There have to be books about this absoute disaster in the future, its on epic levels of how much they fucked up.
