I was honor roll, Eagle Scout, got my STEM degree, participated in community service extracurricular activities. Not one bit of that matters. don't work for nepotistic firms, they are doomed to fail. even if such a firm was forced to hire you, they would do everything they can to screw you over. they are not worth your time.
I don't know what your industry is, but any company worth or salt is hiring for competence right now. all of the dei companies are hemorraging money, the ESG safety net has dried out, and entire cities are going through an economic collapse in office real estate. they are hiring for competence right now.
