Prepare for the importation of every Gazan into the US. Thanks "greatest ally." It might even be worth it if we could export every Jew in the US but that won't happen. We always get the worst of both worlds.
Eh? I'll offer you all the Muslims in Europe and you can export the Jews of the US to Europe.
Such a terrible deal. I'll cry myself to sleep, but just to do you a favor, I'll agree to it.
You get the ADL, SPLC, NAACP, HIAS, the AFL-CIO, the Teamsters Union, SAG, and virtually all the other unions and I have to put up with Al-jazeera for a little while? sure. It's a deal. When are you picking them up?
Yesterday. It's funny that you think there will be no unions without Jews. Also, there already are unions in Europe, and things aren't getting (even) worse.
Enjoy the cultural enrichment.
How about you two meet each other half way and dump all of them in the middle of the Atlantic?
And deny him all that cultural enrichment? What a monstrous suggestion!
I know I'm injecting myself into a sarcastic exchange, so just note that I'm not taking sides in a pissing match.
I don't think it's fair to compare unions in Europe to unions in the US. I don't know enough about unions in Europe, but I've heard they do actually still serve some valuable functions.
In the US they are completely aimless. Every union I can think of is a waste of time or a net negative -- the Teacher's Union is a significant contributor to the horrible state of education in America, for instance. The last union I was forced to join spent all of their resources helping shitty employees keep their jobs -- when I brought I legitimate complaint to the union (I was denied leave), the union rep told me 'I hope you don't think it's my job to listen to you complain.'
(I did the legwork and got my boss to say "if the union says you can have that leave, you can have that leave' and then the union said no. Fuck unions in the US. They serve to create acrimonious relationships between employers and employees and have the primary effect of protecting bad employees.)
Hey, you should inject yourself more often into things. That was interesting and informative.
Unfortunately, I don't have any personal experiences with unions, either positive or negative, nor does anyone I know. Forcing employers to keep bad employees - and to agree to leave - is done by the law here.
Oh, it seems they've come just in time. News from the last few hours:

Sirens sound in Tel Aviv for the first time in months as Hamas fires rockets from Gaza: https://archive.ph/KVDR3
Some serious "well there's your problem" energy here.
Well it looks like they've got the "To the sea" part covered...
This is a picture of a boat. This means nothing on its own. I don't know what kind of boat it is or where this is and have no way of knowing. This is a bad post and you've been here long enough to know better that to create such a low quality thread.
Until you give me reason to believe otherwise I'm going to assume this is just some beach in Florida.
It IS a joke. But it's also very real.
Biden's $300 million dollar supply pier got hammered by rough seas yesterday. Four boats were moored to it at the time and are now beached pretty badly.
