I saw a video of someone who is critical of this procedure. Someone who wanted to get to six feet did this procedure, it went wrong and he is now disabled for life. If he believed he wouldn't be attractive before, he certainly won't be now. He gambled and lost. For such a small gain, it really is not worth the risk.
I recall a documentary on clinics in China where they break your legs and put them in a special cast to make gaps hoping the bone will fill it while healing.
As you can guess, this is dangerous as it can heal incorrectly and the result is more prone to fractures. ( Need I say, it's also extremely painful. )
If you consider the total advantages of being taller, it might be worth it. Which doesn't mean that everyone would want to take the risk. but some people would.
I've heard some men have gone so far as to have surgery to install longer shins.
The film Gattaca came out in 1997 and had that in it, it's not a new concept at this point.
To be fair, I can understand it with midgets and dwarves, even though it's so much risk for so minimal a gain.
I disagree with it, but I can understand it.

agreed. I can certainly empathize in those extreme cases, but I'd encourage a friend/family member not to go through with it.
my understanding is the procedure is rather agonizing as well...
It's true. Very expensive surgery and very painful recovery.

Now they look like their knees are in the wrong place.
Exactly, we should all be happy we aren't manlets like Indians.
eh, I'm borderline manlet, lmao. (5'8" legally, 5 7 3/4" in reality)
Personality goes a long way, all I'm saying.

But the media tells me that getting body modding surgery makes you stunning and brave.
