It's pathetic how Yasuke has basically become accepted as a real person who definitely existed. The propaganda has been put on repeat and pushed for so long now that any debate of his actual existence is over.
Talk to any retard and they will not even entertain the idea that the "evidence" from Jesuit writings may have been fabricated or embellished for the sake of a promotion. They will merely say that there is other evidence, without knowing what that evidence is. The idea of even questioning his existence is seen as taboo to the average normie. Even people who are against his inclusion in Assassin's Creed are merely arguing that he was only a "Retainer" and not a "Samurai," giving legitimacy to the historical revisionism that is being attempted.
The overton window will continue to shift to the point where Yasuke's existence will be elevated to "he was an important warrior in Nobunuga's army" because leftists and dishonest Historians will pull shit out of their ass and reference each other in circular reporting until the normies begin to accept it as true because it makes them sound smarter to know some random historical fact.
Good point. Since apparently "the science is settled" for their side, we shouldn't entertain the idea either. Stop saying "Look, if Yasuke existed, he was actually..." Just stop. He didn't exist, period. This is Culture Warring 101.
Honestly I don't know either way and they don't either, but don't give them an inch. They haven't proven a thing.
Oda Nobunaga was a ridiculously prolific writer and he never mentioned the guy. He once wrote a poem about the time he broke a strap on his favorite sandals, but there's not even a paragraph mentioning any dark skinned foreigner.
Oda must be cancelled in 3...2... He's dead? So we won! Castrations and cauterizations for everyone! bathtub hormones shall pour! Pride on pedopeeple!
You just know this is how they think.
God i hate that phrase, science is about questioning everything constantly to gain more information about it, but nowadays soyence is the go-to for normies
Science tm is the atheist religion
The Jesuits did have some random black guy with them right?
Possibly. Would make sense in the timeframe. Weren't the Portuguese one of the larger slave markets?
I'm not sure if I'm answering the right question here, but
Yes a bunch of slaves were brought to Brazil under Portuguese control. The Jesuits would be the type to rescue a dude, too. If they came into "possession" of a slave, he might travel with them.
