Well, 'the left-wing party' suggests that there is only one.
As for the substance: not much, unfortunately. The 'right-wing party' was in power before Fico and it was wrong on all these issues - like 'center-right' parties everywhere in Europe always are. There's also a nationalist party which is now part of Fico's coalition.
This is why 'populist' is such a good designation. Then you know a party is legit.
Actually, like the rest of the West: Uniparty stuff. The difference being that unlike Western countries, Slovakia also has left-wing populists along with the right-wing populists of the nationalists.
It may be popular to you to not die in an idiotic war, but the people profiting from those wars strongly disagree. And they have basically all the political power.
