Half of “white people” despise their heritage and believe they deserve to be genocided. They would vote for the castration of white men if it was on the ballot.
Half of white people believe they can get brownie points by playing like they believe that. Let's not pretend that this is anything but self-interest. This is just their way of saying "whites are bad, but I'm one of the good ones, o-o-o-kay?"
There's a good bit of industrial brainwashing in the mix there.
You will never persuade someone "I deserve to be dead because of my color". You might persuade him to make "privilege acknowledgements" in order to increase his social standing though.
I simply don't believe that. The majority almost certainly fall into the other category you describe but I absolutely believe that propaganda can be used to completely shatter people's minds. Were you not paying attention for the last four years? Propaganda is used because it works.

Dude, I fucking lived that for most of my teenage years and young adult life, so you can fuck off with that nonsense.
I, a poor but smart kid, was convinced that I shouldn't apply for scholarships because they'd help other people more.... as most of those scholarships went to already well-off students.
Also "white guilt" is an expression of their racism; these white liberals believe Whites are superior and that's why we have to always help the Browns, not hold them accountable, not judge them by merit or the standards of Western civilization.
So their core beliefs don't even need to change, just put them in an environment where they socially benefit from deporting illegals and they'll be the first in line to volunteer.
