Put em to work in the mines and steel furnaces for a couple of years first. You can recoup your losses and really set up a deterrent for not trying to sneak back in, two birds with one stone.
Go full on Robert A. Heinlein on their asses. 10 years of perfect federal service with no criminal activity and you can earn citizenship.
No. They invaded, they get thrown out if we're being merciful and summarily executed en masse as the default option.
I don't think someone willing to commit treasonous and felonious acts ever deserves to even be offered citizenship.
If we are going full Heinlein then the option for such a privilege should only be offered to upstanding citizens to begin with.
If we are going full heinlein public floggings for criminal behavior are on the table, which I think would do nicely as a deterrent for future waves.
Giving them the benefit of our justice system is still acknowledging their right to being treated like a person or an equal to our citizenship. Which a foreign agent committing felonies on our soil does not deserve.
