The left’s obsession with Palestine is because hits the salient points both old and new. Old in that the Soviet Union agitated leftists in the U.S. to oppose Israel for geopolitical purposes and leftists today still parrot the same talking points because they’re brain dead retards despite the USSR being dead and gone. New in the sense that this conflict is the perfect microcosm of intersectional conflict. To the leftists, Palestinians are brown religious minorities who are being colonized and the Jews are white religious oppressors who are colonizing them. It’s an equally stupid take but then again you have to be stupid to be a leftist.
