It's hard to do anything when the feds are so big. If it was a handful of corrupt sheriffs it something it would be solved easily and quickly enough. But when the FBI can send 50 fucking guys with mwraps to kick in your door it's hard to fight that.
This is why the fed was never supposed to be a strong central government. This is why FDR signed the death warrant of this country - perhaps even Lincoln. The expansion of federal power is supposed to be checked by force.
It's funny you said "The fed", which usually means the Federal Reserve. They ARE pretty much the government after all.
I think keeping our heads down let it get to this point in the first place.
