I don't know if it's just me , but I fucking hated Saltburn so much I couldn't finish it. So I was delighted when the Oscar noms came out today and it was completely shut out.

So was Godzilla Minus One, which was easily the best film to come out last year.
It did get a nom for special effects, which is hilarious since Hollywood spends hundreds of billions of dollars on what ends up being subpar shitty CGI, and Japan spent like $10 mil on the effects for Minus One and they’re VASTLY superior… glad it’s being recognized

That's an initialism like CIA, FBI, and so on where you have to say each letter individually. Acronyms you can pronounce like a word such as FEMA.

Looked incredibly pozzed from the description on Amazon. I assumed it was full of faggotry because I’d seen it being promoted everywhere. I’m surprised it didn’t win, the academy usually loves these buttpirate stories.
That is probably the biggest surprise - it seemed to check all the current year boxes. But easily the best comedy of the year was Lady Ballers and that unsurprisingly didn't get nominated considering it was basically anti-woke on every level.
I hope it gets a few Razzies
