TL;DR: An investigative youtuber I follow, Upper Echelon Gaming, has a take I disagree with; namely that ESG is largely smoke & mirrors, a scam based on appearances vs. actual substance.
I don't think it's a meaningful distinction, since they fund the commie-lie/narrative based on who is willing to speak the leftist shibboleths, and that friend/enemy distinction is the only meaningful one.
I gave up on Upper Echelon many years ago when he did the typical centrist excuse of purposely ignoring various types of globohomo messaging and constantly justifying how this stuff was bleeding into pop-culture.
Almost all anti-sjw content on major platforms is essentially “stop loss” in action. These “mavericks” have to pretend to be baffled at all of the woke behavior in our media because none of them will permit themselves to acknowledge the obvious truth: we’re overrun by leftists, and their political and cultural ideology is at the heart of our current dysfunction. These “far right” critics are just disaffected lefties who can’t admit that they were wrong about basically everything, so now they plow through leftist propaganda posing as entertainment, being constantly flabbergasted at the totally inexplicable incompetence of all these creators who happen to have identical politics (and, in many cases, the same tribal affiliations). It’s honestly exhausting to a point where I’ve tuned out the likes of Critical Drinker, Mauler, etc. Their brand of classical liberalism/libertarianism is what got us in this mess, and they won’t even pivot to a proper defensive ideology even as everything burns.

I had to block people like Critical Drinker from appearing in my feed by unsubscribing. Whilst he could make some good points here and there, it's all milquetoast and completely overlooks the real problems (not to mention giving leeway to more infestation by enabling woke crap like that feminist tripe Prey), opposite of people like SyntheticMan who simply calls it like it is. Is he doompilled? Yes, but he's also blatantly honest and knows his time on YouTube is short. But he's spreading a good message opposite of the middle-of-the-road, perpetually "outraged" "Anti-SJW" types who are constantly apologising and shortchanging their own ideas -- while making easy pot shots at low hanging fruit -- so they don't offend the Rainbow Reich and their pet "based" joggers.
I still watch upper echelon, but it is weird how far he goes with this. I feel like he was a big TLOU2 fan wasn’t he?
I honestly need some source on that. Would lower my opinion in him quite a bit. Anyone who enjoys that torture masquerading as a game is either coping and lying to themselves, legally blind and deaf or an Ideologie.
Not sure, I had already stopped watching him by that point. A lot of content creators seemed to like TLOU2 and anyone who remotely praised that filth instantly went on my block list.
Listening to it now. Not sure how he comes to the conclusion it’s all smoke and mirrors. Combine that with how the media shills for it or the blank states you get when you ask why they are catering to people who buy the product in minuscule numbers

Problem with the stoking the flames like that is they choose to kick the wrong nest. Instead of pissing off the people that would never buy their games (such as feminists and their ilk), they piss off their direct customer base.
"Bad press" from the terminally woke is just good advertising at this point. Bad press from the real gaming crowd though is just bad press.
