We already know what’s going to happen. We saw it during the pandemic. The government paid people not to work, so they didn’t.
Also, how does UBI work with open borders and/or mass immigration? Does the entire world get free money from Canada?

Yep. I was one of them.
I got laid off, and lounged around playing vidya for like 8 months all while making more than I did working 9 hour days as a delivery driver. I had basically zero reason to look for a job while getting all that money. When it finally dried up, that is when I started looking.
Now I've been employed for 3 years straight, because I had an incentive.
Just normal state/federal unemployment. That was during the whole covid stimulus package years so it was higher than normal unemployment checks, but similar to normal welfare checks for say, a single mom of three getting money from the state.
Everyone gets it except Canadian taxpayers. They've taken our guns away, and the right to protest unless it's for raping murdering terrorists. No agenda here.
Even sleepy Japan couldn't put up with Abe for some no nonsense reason. But in Canada, the lunatics in power can do no wrong.
