Ot's really just a cult or a pseudoreligion. They always hate apostates way way more than unbelievers. An unbeliever might be converted, but an appstate was part of the faith before and then rejected it, and that's unforgivable
While they certainly are cultists, I think everyone dislikes apostates more than 'unbelievers'. An apostate has all the unpleasant attributes of an 'unbeliever', plus the betrayal.
Eh, apostates are cool. They found the courage within to nope away from whatever cult they were trapped in, knowing full well what happens to those who turn away.
