... does anybody with a male heart and a male brain in a female body make it out of the womb, or do they die in vitro due to what I must assume would be a massive autoimmune response?
She ment esoteric ''your heart and soul totally is what you delusional imagination fabricated in your head''.
As for the vanishingly-rare chimeras of fraternal twins of different sexes where one embryo was absorbed by the other, if they are alive at birth, they can live a normal life and usually never know they are a chimera. Usually only few parts of the body present a DNA patchwork.
If the fraternal twin was the same sex there is no fertility issue. If it's the opposite sex it can result in infertility if the patchwork is too strong within the sex organs.
In extremely rare cases, paternity / maternity tests incorrectly led people to believe a child wasen't theirs, but you can tell something is off because the child would seem to be from the uncle/aunt ( the chimeric DNA is from a fraternal twin ).
All good points. Ones I might expect someone familar with the topic, such as a science teacher, to be able to make, rather than wishy-washy talk like "but your heart and brain are male."
