I'd be fine with this if it applied to everyone, both ways. If you're there promoting your show, we don't need to hear your political opinions.
But we all know that that's not how it works. If he were there talking about those evil insurrectionists and how Trump was a threat to Our Democracy, they'd have let him go for as long as the interviewer wanted to keep asking questions.
A shame. The original Frasier is still one of my favorite shows of all time, and Kelsey Grammer has led such a tragic life that I can't help but feel bad for the man.
Did he actually cave on anything? Or does he just not want to tank his production by injecting politics into a TV show? IIRC in the past he has expressed being very worried about his costars being dragged down his personal politics. He doesn't want them to get hurt by what he says. What an asshole.
I think he's fine. I'm just suspicious of anyone that works in that business. I didn't mean it as an accusation, really, just a sort of sigh that that's the way they seem to do business in Hollywood. I don't suppose he is an exception based on being a conservative, no.

I was gonna say the same thing.
Dude's worth 80 million. He needs to grow a bit of backbone and call their bluff. It's not Elon level "Fuck off" money but it's sufficient.
Likely they have blackmail pics on him

How tragic? Almost everyone he's cared about has died horribly.
Reads like a comedy skit.
His show is still milquetoast sit-com material, though.
To each his own, I guess.
