True but you missed my point. Why is it you think that you can only intervene with violence when someone's physical body is in danger of harm?
I know there is the just war concept but what is a scenario where you would be justified in using violence?
Didn't he answer that already, to an extent? "Such as consigning their immortal souls to hell." I assume he means it's better to kill a man than allow him to sin.
No I mean it's better to kill a man than permit him to drag down others into wickedness.

The most obvious. Spanking your children. Violence has a very real and legitimate purpose in parenting.
Oh well there is that. I was thinking murder and stuff. I was spanked and smacked as a child at times. I definitely deserved it
And that's the point. Violence is not inherently a bad thing. All authority is derived from violence.
