"The moon is made of cheese
"Well, that's not true, it's made of rock.
"The moon has been made of choose for thousands of years.
"Millions of people have eaten a piece of the moon
"As part of their yearly ritual before modern times.
"Are you saying you're right and they're wrong??
Doesn't get at the question at all.
This position being typical is very unlikely.
babies come out head first
babies necks are very very weak when they're born they cannot even support the weight of their own head
delivering it on all 4 would mean the baby hitting the ground head first
onto a very very weak neck
so basically this position has some risk of killing or crippling the baby for life
and labor can go on for hours...the idea that the person is spending hours squatting or on all fours is not really practical
I'm not exactly sure why you're planting your flag on this hill. It seems rather obvious that you've never had kids.
Women aren't laying down, or in any specific position, for hours while in labor. The pushing only happens when fully dilated. Many women prefer to be up and about before then, or change positions constantly until right at the end when the baby is coming. Everything you've seen in Hollywood media or what hospitals make women do while on pain meds is contrary to what women will do when giving birth naturally. Furthermore, pregnancy is only super long for new mothers. The more kids a woman has, the quicker it goes.
But hey, you don't have to take my word for it. Go talk with midwives that specialize in natural home births. Or go talk to the Amish. Or read a book on it. There's tons of them. It's not like I'm arguing this from the void, completely absent of experience and the entire history of our species.
This irritates me because you're following along with their tactic. They push something they know is 100% opposite of reality. You show up to ignore most of the details and start an argument then a bunch of energy is wasted arguing back and forth over something they knew was wrong to begin with.
Women do not give birth wearing pants.
Women are not sitting in her position with her legs under her while pushing the baby out (I was wrong on the position look at the pic it's impossible).
Doctors do not stand behind the woman trying to catch the baby - after covering that area with a blanket so they cannot see what they're doing.
When it started we were all bored and it was kinda fun, but it's been 10 years of falling for this same tactic.
The people in the picture are doing almost everything the opposite of reality. As it's been a deliberate tactic for them to do this I find it really irritating.

I've already explicitly stated that I was only commenting on the accuracy of the position. I already agreed with you that women wouldn't be wearing pants and have a blanket covering the pertinent area to block view while pushing during the end stages of labor.

Here, let me do a simple internet search for you ("natural labor squatting position"). Here are just 3 results:
Women have given birth in that position for thousands of years. So, too, have they given birth on all fours, or sitting down in various positions, or partially submerged in water.
The question is if it happened.

are you retarded? they can hold and support the baby while it's coming out.
Reading comprehension issues, I take it.
