Anyone playing with an English VO for Kiryu deserves the shittiest performance imaginable. I support Yong Yea (who?) in every one of his cringey scuffed lines I will never hear.
This guy did nothing but over-hype Cyberpunk all day long nearly every day leading up to its release, and then pretended he didn't over-hype the game when it did release and crap the bed.
I unsubscribed after the Cyberpunk thing, but I'm sure he did the same thing for Starfield. The guy is an industry shill. Basically used his shilling status to land a job at a major publishing outfit, same thing some other YouTubers did over the years.
I'm so glad I know nothing about this, it looks like the equivalent of when they put Cardi B in Call of Duty ( Yes they really did that ). I do feel like the games industry is trying to turn itself into some kind of second Hollywood where they shoehorn 'famous people' into every fucking game even if it makes zero sense and I'm sure I'm not the only one seeing this trend.
I mean they always did it to a degree but it's been getting more obnoxious lately and it's as if they're spending half their budget to get these people to say a few lines when they don't even care and pump out an incredibly mediocre game. This is all so they can hook in normies and zoomers I suspect.
Gundam is the Silky Johnson of YouTube. He'll use any bit of drama as an excuse to shit on any content creator, turn them into radioactive lolcows. Guys like Gundam want all the views for themselves, the pie is never big enough. I haven't watched his stuff for several years, but this is exactly what he did with MxR (when his Fallout 4 videos got a copyright strike from Dion), the reaction videos about some moron from The Verge building a desktop PC and his obsessive need to big himself up by playing short clips of Ninja ("This is a video of me playing a game with my friends... but Ninja... NINJA!?!?!?")
From what I gather, YongYea is an 'orangemanbad' NPC and his voice work in this game - based on the examples - is indeed bad, however, Gundam's videos are indeed low-effort. His voice rubs me the wrong way and I had to speed it up, just to get through it.
Hiring people for the celebrity status always end poorly and YongYea got consumed by the culture willingly.

There is no way the developer didn't know his background. lol

Cardi B? Wasn't it that other big booty 'rapper'? They all have the same gargantuan cellulite ass. So I can definitely understand the confusion. ;)
