The 118-day strike will end officially just after midnight, SAG-AFTRA said in a statement.
The breakthrough means Hollywood can ramp up to full production for the first time since May, once union members vote to ratify the deal in the coming weeks.
I love how all these "the strike is over/a strike was averted" announcements never even hint at the possibility that union membership has the independence to vote against their leadership whenever their betters declare that they are satisfied.
Prior to this announcement, we were hearing rumours of the exact opposite - that the union leadership was more zealous about their demands than (some of) the actors. That's especially credible when the newest demand was that the union wanted the studios to pay the union a fee (for being a parasitic thorn in their side, presumably) and bypassing the actors entirely.
Sad it ended, I like leftists fighting among themselves. Now we only have jews vs pro-palestinians and trans vs feminists to entertain us.
For more money in an industry that is quickly losing most of its value.
Both sides have an overriding interest in pushing pedo shit on kids, so I'm sure that made reaching an agreement easier.

The surprise pikachu face on actors getting less jobs due to this is going to be hilarious
I hope it keeps going.
That's unfortunate.
