Sadly, you are incorrect about that. Even on the original KiA, saying faggot was allowed, and the then-head mod HandOfBane personally told me that they would never ban it. In fact, he was quite fond of the word, particularly when addressing me. Ultimately, they had to due to admin shenanigans, same for KiA2 on Reddit.

Very early, around 2014. I believe the word faggot was mostly pulled out for mod wars. It would NEVER have been sanctioned to refer to actual gay people. We had a "celebration" thread for the "victory" of Obergefell in 2015.
