It’s crazy how ignorant and sheltered a lot of these antifa types seem to be. I think it’s really easy to take for granted the information environment a lot of us older millennials were steeped in. We lived through the rise of the uncensored internet and saw it degenerate into what it is now. If you’re a 21 year old, it’s very possible that you really began paying attention as a teenager to politics in 2016, where you were inundated with nothing but the garbage that’s been coming out of the mainstream media since then. You probably are so much more likely to have the most ignorant, binary views imaginable, like “white people bad, brown people good” and “cis people bad, trans people good” and you just cannot reconcile when these views clash. Not to say there aren’t a ton of older people like that too.
