Just throwing ideas at the wall here rather than actually advocating this:
Maybe suicidal people like this should be killed so they can't infect the rest of the population with their malady. What good comes of allowing someone to do something like this? I see quite a bit of harm in tolerating this behavior because if it's seen to be allowed then it takes a step closer to being normalized.
I get your point, but in normalizing such an extreme response we open the door for that extreme response to be used on us. "Executing people for being stupid or infectiously awful" will be used far more on people who question the Regime than it will on improving us by removing cancer.
Like, it'll probably reach that point eventually in our devolution. But we shouldn't make it easier for them to start offing us in our own haste.

I wish everyone thought like you.
I don't believe such thinking always holds up against an opponent who will violate every standard and create any precedent to destroy you, but it's the kind of thinking a stable and rational civilization needs.
Agreed that the extreme response isn't going to be productive, but I think it's worth recognizing the threat that allowing this sort of behavior poses to society and brainstorming some ways to actually address it and prevent this shit from propagating.
If we just allow this sort of thing to pass by with no repercussions then we will only get more of it.
And that's fine, we should try to prevent it. I just think outright opening the door to killing them (aka getting the government involved) can only go poorly.
Suicides are deliberately not reported on in any heavy manner by journalists specifically because it has a demonstrated and recorded trend of causing copy-cat suicides to occur.
My natural cynicism suggests that this is less due to any compassion on the news media part and more that they don't want to be sued into oblivion.
Propaganda works. They advertise this sort of thing because they want to see more of it. The ship has already sailed - if you want to strangle this sort of activity in the crib, you need to stop Journalists from reporting on it in any capacity.
...sadly, any solid, immediate option that comes to mind to achieve this swerves directly into... yeah, we're not going there right now. I'm nowhere near drunk enough.
That is a good point. I don't feel bad at all about being happy that this person is sacrificing themselves on the alter of woke, but these people are part of a dangerous and growing cult made up of people with influence, people that can vote, and people who have the power to sacrifice us too.
