Should Hellsing be banned? I only watched a few episodes, because I just can't with the idea of the "adult female cop" looking like she's a goddamn 5 year old.
But shit, just drawing a kid or a non-human nowadays brings about charges from spermbrains who think that people only want to draw what they want to fuck or something. And frankly, I think that's just a variant on the same type of people who think that people will worship statues and pictures so they all must be banned.
And all slippery slopes start with reasonable stuff. Yes, ban obviously sexual stuff involving children. But when it starts to move into Sailor Moon in her miniskirt?
And the average perv will beat off to any bloody thing.
This in particular isn't a hill I wish to die on, though. I don't care for porn of any kind. But I do enjoy funny animal/anthro cartoons, and prefer to play non-humans in games wherever I can, and I'm in a very straight relationship with a fellow WASP. So I don't know what that makes me, but I don't care, because I've been called every fucking name in the book in my life, so I'm more or less immune. It's just that if they're going to whip up a moral panic over drawings of supposedly-adult females that look like kids (but why don't they ever talk about young looking males?), then I know the next step is "anyone who watches Bugs Bunny wants to fuck rabbits".
Can we agree that the obviously sexual drawings should be illegal to display in a public forum, one that isn't meaningfully age gated? If we agree then we can argue about whether particular instances qualify as sexual.
We tend to talk past each other on these topics because the sides are attacking strawmen of their opponents.
Absolutely. I dont think I've ever seen loli defenders claiming they want 18+ content of it shown in all ages places. There's zero reason for that to be allowed.

You're not wrong, but that is an issue that isn't unique to this stuff; it's an issue for all porn in general. So if someone says that they want to ban all porn, and loli/shota shit just happens to be part of that, I can respect it.
If their issue is the security side and how the current setup makes it too easy for kids to find it, I could potentially agree with that as well. The issue comes when the solutions I tend to hear proposed to that tend to be very worrying, like requiring all people ID themselves online and things like that. If there is a solution that could reasonably keep minors from finding that shit without being a huge issue regarding the anonymity of everyone using the internet, I'm all ears.
Who is the character that looks like a 5 year old from Hellsing? I don't remember any loli stuff so I'm just wondering about that now, but it has been years since I've seen it.
