I’m so thankful that my doctor bluntly told me I was fat and needed to lose 100 pounds a while back. Still working on the 100 pounds but I’m glad he didn’t try to tell me obesity was good
You know what's depressing about that is? You don't even have to be peak physical fitness these days anymore to be better than easily 80% of the population if that. I'm pulling that figure out of my arse obviously but I would just advise people look around you and see what people are buying on a daily basis. Keep at it and I'm sure you'll be fine, just don't go down the path of the steroid abusers on youtube that try to lie and pretend they're normal.
You just don't buy crap and eat meat and vegetables and you'll easily be way fitter than most people if you do even a slight bit of exercise. I've been shocked at the kind of shit that young people especially are eating daily as part of their diet and they don't seem to even notice. This is why so many of them are either outright fatties or have so little muscle they can barely unscrew a bottlecap making the soy wojack meme totally real.
They may not have a choice soon. One of the proposals being suggested for a future obesity strategy (because even the Government and pharmaceutical industry do not want customers dying by their middle age of heart attacks and cardiovascular disease) is a mandatory health check-up for all workers and welfare recipients in a similar vein to what is currently implemented in Japan. Fail it and you will be required to obtain a gym membership, diet and exercise to keep your job or benefits.

And I do a minimum of 10k steps a day which is around 5 miles
