The problem was the gays sold everyone on the lie of "we just want to live our lives like normal and be left alone" and then proceeded to go miles beyond that by abusing the decency and kindness of the mostly Christian nations.

I get you were rushing to say "bibleman bad" but you really should think about the connotations of your accusations, and how they entirely rest on the tolerance and kindness of the people you are hating not going far enough for people who openly spew vile back at them.

Also, there was a third option already. I said it up there, and it was one that the majority of people were slowing coming around to. You know, "live and let live." The Bible does condemn a lot of actions. I’m guilty of plenty of sins. I wouldn’t go out of my way to harass a gay person or force them to listen to me talk about the Bible with them. Now if they wanted to have a discussion that’s great. I do try to love everyone as I’m commanded to and that is the right thing but just because I love someone doesn’t mean I won’t tell them the unpleasant truth. That goes across the board and includes me. I’ve been told some unpleasant truths about my actions
I don’t believe people are born that way. You certainly may have certain proclivities but I believe heterosexuality is the natural order of things. There are certain things that tempt me more than others. Not saying that heterosexuals don’t have sin or do bad things but I think the ideal is a loving husband and wife joining together and having kids they raise together. Doesn’t always happen but I see that as the ideal

All men have certain proclivities, and the purpose of religion is to suppress the urges that destroy society (gays, gambling, alcohol etc) and to promote the ones that build society (love for family and neighbours; hard work, discipline etc)
You're obviously very religious so ask yourself this question: if everybody lived a life of complete sin... would it even be possible to build a society? Well... no. But if everybody lived a virtuous life -- society would be great. It's just that instead of having porn we'd have Leave it to Beaver or Mayberry.
Think of gays as gambling addicts or alcoholics -- people who have let the darker sides of their persona dominate them. It's only in the modern age, for the first time in history, have we pretended that being 'gay' is a thing. Usually we'd just say 'degenerate'. And degeneracy is going to sky-rocket, because there's nothing to stop it until the entire world collapses.
Clearly you don't know what sin is or why it exists. And judging by the downdoots, everyone here knows you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I suggest you find some Christian sources about it, people who actually know the religion, instead of getting your knowledge from r/atheism talking points.
God didn't make people gay, and He doesn't make people sin. People choose to sin. Nobody is going to hell "through no fault of their own", it is their fault. Again, it's clear you don't know much about Christianity because you don't seem to understand what sin is.
