If your looking for a quirky walking simulator, you, might want to check out Metamorphosis
I got bored pretty quick but its not really my type of game.
If your looking for a good game in the 30 clams range, I highly recommend Rimworld, Factorio and Divinity: Original Sin 2 (you don't need to play the first one).
mainly, I'm looking for a cat simulator, but I want something with a little more substance than a short story reworked as a glorified interactive movie, lol.
There's Rain World. You play a slug-cat. It's brutally hard and you don't feel very much like a cat, necessarily, although people who like the game swear by it. I got filtered, maybe I'll go back some day.
There's also the Swery game The Good Life, where you turn into a cat, but by all accounts it doesn't sound very good. IDK though.
I'm kinda looking for a cat simulator...that's what drew me into this, the idea of playing an adorable cat on an adventure (while still being a cat) hooked me pretty hard...I didn't go looking for this mind you, I was looking at an event for stealth games, and the artwork jumped out and made me go "aww" lol.
refund policy
I think they do, but I'm not even sure this game would run on my pc (had to tweak settings to get ark running, it's an intel chipset, lol)

You are the target gay audience. May as well just buy it.
Cat sims are quite a niche; I guess it might just be worth giving Stray a go. It looks like you can get a refund within two weeks with less than 2 hours of play time.
So if it doesn't run on your system or you don't enjoy it, nothing lost.
thank you, anything better you can suggest? not a big deal, just taking a shot int he dark, lol.

lol, afraid I can't help with that. But if you find a good sandbox-survival-catsim let me know. I would unironically play the shit out of that game.
I think “sandbox game” would take on a very different game in a catsim!
heh...you could always play ark and tame a sabertooth like I suggested in another comment thread, lmao.

There's something coming out for Switch like that.

There was a direct with a section just for cat games.
ah, okay, lol. my bad.
Not too sure what kind of games you're after.
Does Steam still have a refund policy? If so, maybe give it a shot and see what you think.
Steam refund policy is still 2 hours of playtime or 14 days, as far as I know.

I love the internet...
Well, they're not necessarily house cats, but if that's the idea of what you're looking for I'd recommend checking out
Shelter - you play as a badger trying to protect her cubs on a journey
and
Shelter 2 - as above, but with a Lynx this time.
okay, thank you.

alley cat?
ah, IBM in the eighties... Is it any wonder commodore lasted so long? lol
Kitten aside, though, that's definitely an interesting old dos game, I might check it out, thanks.
