Its also a commitment. To the long and hard road of self reflection and facing your fears.
Not one part of that is something most people in therapy are actually capable of.
It's the reason why I get so sick of the term triggers. They are real, but trying to make it all they have is the exact opposite of what is needed.
That's how they always do it. They take something that some of the hardest men suffering from of the worst horrors possible are burdened with (rape culture, PTSD, triggers) and then make it all about them until its cheapened so much those very men feel like pussies even acknowledging they might be suffering. I've met many vets who refuse to talk about their PTSD because of how badly they think it reflects on them because of how "everyone says they have it now."
So its beyond simple cringe girls ruining a word in their attention seeking. Its always increasing the suffering and horrors men deal with entirely so they can feel special in their pampered lives.
