It's on twitter which I can't link to because Musk is being a gay bitch right now but her tweet literally is just "the Constitution was written by slave owners," that's it, there's no attached commentary. It's a bad faith argument masquerading as a trivia fact, as though slavery is so bad that everything the Founders did needs to be discarded because they owned slaves.
She's a retarded nigger and the only reason she's an American and not a rape-slave in Uganda is because her great-great-great-great-grandparents were sold into slavery in the first place. The Constitution is more important and more significant than anything produced by any other race, slave-owning or no. It's possibly our species' crowning achievement (until we colonize exo-planets).
Well said sir. Didn’t Washington free his slaves upon his death? Also Washington’s former slaves took care of his grave for the rest of their lives. Clearly he must have shown them some compassion. Also he said he wanted to see an eventual abolition
Not all of them, but as many as he could. Same with Jefferson.
And I remember reading that Jefferson originally put lines in the Declaration of Independence vehemently opposing slavery but had to take those out. People today don’t realize that they debated fiercely over slavery during the founding and the 3/5 thing was a compromise
They're so ignorant that they take the exact opposite position on the 3/5 clause. They say "I WAS ONLY CONSIDERED 3/5 OF A PERSON". First of all, you're no slave (except to your appetites and emotions), so no. Secondly, you make it sound like you'd be happy if slaves were counted as 1/1 of a person... which was the slaveholders' position cause they wanted more representation.
Exactly. Walter Williams had a good article about that. There were some who tried very hard to end slavery at the founding but that was the best they could do. It’s idiotic to ignore the fact that once slavery was very common across the world so then even debating having it abolished was fighting against the common views.
