It's on twitter which I can't link to because Musk is being a gay bitch right now but her tweet literally is just "the Constitution was written by slave owners," that's it, there's no attached commentary. It's a bad faith argument masquerading as a trivia fact, as though slavery is so bad that everything the Founders did needs to be discarded because they owned slaves.
She's a retarded nigger and the only reason she's an American and not a rape-slave in Uganda is because her great-great-great-great-grandparents were sold into slavery in the first place. The Constitution is more important and more significant than anything produced by any other race, slave-owning or no. It's possibly our species' crowning achievement (until we colonize exo-planets).
Wait till they find out who wrote the Magna Carta or who was the first person to bring restrictions in that essentially banned slavery.
It's the most retarded thinking that just because a person has a checkered background or not going in with the best intentions, means that their actions can't be for the benefit of all future generations.
Also dont tell them that most of the Founding Fathers were against it and did what they could to try and overturn it. Or that Jefferson pretty much set up "All Men are created equal" with the knowledge that it conflicted with Slavery and thus the argument would eventually have to be settled.
But no. We must destroy Jefferson and Washington because they kept their slaves. Please ignore that Virginia had a law that made it virtually impossible to free your slaves even if you wanted to, and both engaged in legal shenanigans in their wills to sidestep it as much as possible (like Washington "gifting" his slaves to relatives in states that just so happened to not have such "eternal slave" laws).
Well said sir. Didn’t Washington free his slaves upon his death? Also Washington’s former slaves took care of his grave for the rest of their lives. Clearly he must have shown them some compassion. Also he said he wanted to see an eventual abolition
Not all of them, but as many as he could. Same with Jefferson.
And I remember reading that Jefferson originally put lines in the Declaration of Independence vehemently opposing slavery but had to take those out. People today don’t realize that they debated fiercely over slavery during the founding and the 3/5 thing was a compromise
Who are you talking about?
Your broader point is valid.
The Magna Carta was a charter that promised the protection of church rights, protection from illegal imprisonment, access to swift justice, and limitations on feudal payments to the Crown and was put forward by rebel barons
The left would ignore the content of that and focus on the barons that kept a surf class working under them as 'the oppressors'. NO ONE is good enough for the left no matter the result of their actions.
Oh, they wouldn't mind the barons keeping serfs. Those serfs were white, after all, and therefore cannot be used to create divisions and political power in the present.
