If you had to place bets on it, which do you believe will be out first between ES6 and Winds of Winter? Tough one for me but if I had to choose, I would say Elder Scrolls 6. GRRM has shown that he has zero interest in finishing his series and I refuse to watch House of the Dragon or Dunk and Egg shows because he has treated Ice and Fire book readers like crap. I'll probably buy Dunk and Egg/Fire and Blood used so I don't give him money. Bethesda knows they can't keep delaying ES6 but it was a very boneheaded move to show a teaser in 2018!!!!

I've got to say Winds of Winter, because he's a fat old man and if it's not out between now and 6 years, the series will never finish.
That may be for the better. I'm not sure it's getting better. Chaucer can attest to the fact that unfinished works may still be pretty good.
My money is on Martin dying and his estate "finding" the manuscripts for all of the remaining books to keep his widow in dough.
Twice.
I hope any remaining GRRM book fans realize that Winds of Winter isn't even the (planned) last book. There's supposed to be another one tentatively titled Dreams of Spring. Seven books. Symbolism and all that.
I've been a GRRM fan since about 1997, and I completely lost interest after season 3 of the show. At this point I doubt I'll even read it, even if it ever does come out. Much like Patrick Rothfuss (whose books I also enjoyed), GRRM treats his fans like crap. That's fine, he's not a slave, but I also have the choice to give my money to author's I like who DON'T shit on their fans. Authors like Brandon Sanderson.
I need to get Sanderson books. My first exposure to him was reading the Wheel of Time series. But I did get annoyed when Martin got upset with fans asking about Winds of Winter after he takes in all these other projects
That's exactly how I got into Sanderson. I read his Robert Jordan books first. Then, after that, I read Mistborn.
Check out Mistborn, it's a good starting point.
Definitely on my immediate list to buy
Love me some Brando Sando.
If he dies I could see the publisher gathering up what he has and finding someone to finish. It
Definitely. They'll do anything to make a buck.
