100%. Last game I went to was done in under two hours!
The whole point of going to a baseball game is to while away an entire day. It's the fault of the zero-attention-span generations created by the portable internet nodes in everyone's pockets.
Baseball went sideways when they made us pay twice for a doubleheader.
Mark Buehrle's perfect game, pitching as quickly as he could, just barely got under the two-hour mark.
Hate the clock? Blame the batters for stepping out of the box to adjust their gloves, helmets, and all the other crap they wear--and doing this every pitch. Derek Jeter was notorious for this.
The umpires HAD rules to make the batter and the pitcher get on with it, but they never enforced them. I can quote the exact rules right now if you want.
Just because you got used to it doesn't make it baseball. The designated shitter has existed for 50 years, and that's not baseball either. Face your opposing pitcher or leave the game.
Pitch clock: Blame the players who keep stepping out of the box between pitches, adjusting their gloves and helmets, dilly-dallying in all sorts of ways, AND the umpires for letting them do it instead of enforcing Rules 8.04 and 6.02b, which were already on the books and gives the umpire the power to keep things moving.
"Some bullshit gadget": Blame Angel Hernandez. The one-man argument for robo-umps. Did you know he once sued MLB claiming they were being racist against him for not letting him ump playoff games? No, it's because you SUCK, Hernandez.
Not to mention the pitch clock and the fact that home plate umpires will be replaced by video or some such bullshit gadget.
I think I'm the only guy at work who thinks this is bull. Makes the game go too fast if you ask me.

I find this highly unlikely.
