The Alabama congressional Supreme Court thing is wild…
posted 3 years ago by bamboozler1 3 years ago by bamboozler1 +29 / -0

Like, I don’t quite get this, but drawing up (or redrawing) congressional maps based on proportion of blacks living there seems pretty insane to me…

Like, the fuck? You guys do that now, lol?

People have been redistricting based on political leaning since the idea of districts came up. That's allowed.

Since blacks almost entirely vote Democrat, there's not a ton of difference.

I mean, we have that here, too...

But doing a redistribution openly based on racial makeup, and two "conservative" supreme court justices siding with the decision..?

That's wildly unusual to me...

Australia doesn't have a politicised supreme court (well, not in the same partisan sense that the US does), but even the idea of doing openly race-based redistributions... That'd be illegal here, lol.

Again, remember that black = Democrat. Literally with something like 90% certainty. In areas that have high percentages of blacks, redistricting on political leaning can be almost identical to redistricting on race.

Gerrymandering is a tale old as time. The Dims have now figured out how to do it and be aboveboard with it. You see, they aren't redrawing the district to encompass Dem strongholds, but minorities!

One of the ideas from pol that I wish wasn't true but seems undeniable is that America isn't so much a nation as an institution dedicated to the worship of niggers.

See also: the spic-nig cycle.

Not just niggers, all non-whites. Until they step out of line.

But specifically niggers. We built our economy on them. When it became clear the federal government was a faggy failure, we killed a half million of our literal brothers (not just euroshit "brother war" stuff). The enduring legacy of that catastrophe? Muh niggers. The last hundred years of culture has been nothing but increasing nigger obsession: civil rights, music (starting with jazz and the "cool" nigger), race riots, muh based niggers, niggerino-in-chief. It never ends.

It doesn't matter. These people DO NOT CARE about, principles, morality, fairness, virtue, or justice. They want POWER and they will do WHATEVER GETS IT for them.

There are endless WTF computer generated gerrymandered maps in democrat cities that look like they were made with a spirograph. The republicans never seriously try to fight them.

Hard to fight an uphill battle, like this one. Only thing Alabama Government can do now is ignore it and see what the Supreme Court does or accept it and make another district in the Blue Belt. (They could also try and make another district that pulls in another Republican buts let see how that turns out.)
