IMO they all suck.

The future of widespread VR adoption will be resemble glasses.

Very few people are going to be walking around with a brick strapped around their head that also obscures your peripheral vision.

We probably won't see it in our lifetime, but that's where it needs to be, IMO.

I think that's ten years off. It takes people who are ready for this for it to work. The same is for AI. We know it's headed in specific ways, so designers prepare everything for it.

It's one of these things that's been "ten years off" for decades, like nuclear fusion, self-driving cars, and a catastrophic rise in sea levels.

I expect another lense discovery to get it even smaller, and the tech to improve at the same rate it has. The big issue is social situations with goggles. That's the big problem that needs to be figured out.

Google Glass was smaller than this (although still incredibly stupid looking) over a decade ago, and the social situation problem isn't solvable - noone wants to talk to someone who's eyes are darting all over the place, This is a ridiculous solution looking for a problem. I hope the diversity hires at Apple poured billions upon billions into developing it.

You will need a device to be tethered to though for battery and data transfer, I assume it would look like eyeglass holder straps that you would then put down your t-shirt into your device or to a laptop.

Wireless will never be able to compete when it comes to battery life and latency, simple as.
