German government-run TV does the same. Temperatures that were green 10 years ago are now deep red (same TV station, same month of the year).
They also said last year they will no longer describe weather in summer as "nice" because that doesn't "evoke the right associations".
They did the same with COVID, too. Maps with new cases were green one month. Then when the government started pushing their mandatory vaccination law the maps suddenly turned deep red even though the numbers stayed the same.
I was in that area in May about 5 years ago and it was around 30C. I had to go buy some shorts because I'd left all that stuff at home and was really hoping to escape hot weather. Now they are pitching 13C as hot? Haha here in Texas we would call that winter.
Current European summer is pretty comfy actually. Last year I remember already having a couple too hot days. If we'll have a normal summer they'll still claim its climate change(or catastrophy as they changed it to noeadays).
Imagine calling 13 "red-zone hot" when 0 is literally freezing.
Even most Americans know that 21 is room temperature in Celsius. Who do they think they're fooling?

Journos are disgusting.

Did you guys just discover sleet?
"rained snow"?
If you're talking about a semi-solid rain/snow mix that melts when it hits the ground, we call that sleet.
