I am of the general opinion that when costuming, the more costume you make the better job you are doing. Looking muscular inside a costume is not the same thing as being muscular. At least, not all costumes are going to be skin tight. So you have to put something exaggerated in there so it is seen. All of costume is fooling people, lol. It's fake.
What impresses you is like the tiny girl who puts on stilts and sells being a space marine. It's all about the transformation.
