They should blacklist all game journalist establishments, just on principle. Sure it'll give less coverage for a game. But considering the kind of coverage it is, it's never useful from outlets like that. It's down to maybe a sentence or two of the game, and then it's all politics and dumping on the audience for liking things like video games. You know, the job that said writer has, and somehow gets to keep, even though they seem to loathe every part of it.
So let's look at it from a different angle. From the nintendo point of view in this case.
They give you free stuff, and you complain that it doesn't have your specific brand of political lean enough. They decide that enough is enough, and you shit on them for it.
I can't see the positive for ever doing anything with people like that again.
If I'm ever lucky enough to make games that people actually play I'm seriously considering trolling the fuck out of streamers by patching in content that would get them banned just because of the types of people that the big streamers are. There are some wholesome ones out there but by and large yes I agree with the idea of gatekeeping when it comes to these sorts of people.
Blacklisting Kotaku is never not good.

does Nintendo even need fluffs from the access media, all their first party games sold like hot cakes just based on decades of brand/ip loyalty

"Come to my Rumble, since this game is too based for YT/Twitch"
As if anyone working at Kotaku knows anything about professionalism.
Jajajajaja.
Millions of genders read them.
Pick one, you can't have them both
Two companies that everyone should despise are eating each other. That's a win-win. 👍
He's not wrong, but that's a phenomenally uncharitable interpretation of what Plunkett meant with that image.
Phenomenally uncharitable, and yet, if Plunkett deleted it so fast, he may even be right. lmao.
everyone should blacklist kotaku and all the other "journalists"
