Watching Mystery Incorporated right now. It's an amazing modern take on the classic show. There have been so many seasons, movies and versions I can ignore all the stupid stuff pretty easily.
Recently (with the whole Velma thing) I rewatched the old shows (where are you?, the scooby doo show, what's new scooby doo and so on) and damn those were great.
Everyone had a defined set of skills (which became a bit more defined with each iteration, though Daphnee got a major upgrade with one of them), the mysteries were well done and they kept their focus on the mystery solving.
Then came in one of the modern ones adding relationship bullshit with velma trying to bang shaggy, the characters were dumb as hell and more focussed on having relationship meltdowns than solving any mystery and I just dropped that shit.
No wonder Velma was such a train wreck after that one. The slope is truly slippery.
I miss the competent skillful characters with each having their own skill set that they used to great effect.

Man, you could tell the people who made that show loved Scooby-Doo, the franchise, in general. What a difference that makes lol.
I wish there were more like that.
The original Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and even James Bond were obvious signs someone loved the subjects they filmed.
Far and away, the best version of the show ever made.
Also the longest-lasting, at 52 episodes. And deservedly so.
Oh totally. It's a lot of fun.
Yeah, I need to get around to finishing it, I enjoyed what I saw of it so far.
My husband just retired last week. Still getting used to the new pace of life around here.
Retirement is very different. You have to give yourself a purpose or go nuts.
Haven't even looked at it yet, but I'm guessing it might be because the characters are accurate to their old selves, and not the "Velma" versions?
