I thought it's like $2 million for vague 'sexual assault/harassment' (but not rape) and $3 million for defamation...which was I guess him saying he didn't rape her, when it was found he didn't rape her.
Not sure what the sexual assault allegation is exactly, but to say it's completely lacking from the $5 million isn't true, from what I've seen. Which, to be clear, is not me saying that finding is legitimate, just that that's what the jury said.
I think you might be correct, but it is all moot because they'll throw this out on appeal.
Apparently if you don't rape someone and they say you did and you say "nah uh i didn't" that's also defamation.
You'd think the defamation would be the false rape accusation, but I suppose that would just make too much sense.
True and false depends on what the truth is. Which these courts don't seem to want to settle all at once. Hence this weirdness about oh well there was an assault but it wasn't a rape. Dumb shit that no one ever suggested. Fact finding would involve ev-i-dence. The way this case is presented to jurors they just think well if I believe her better than him then he's liable. That's a nuts way to decide any fact.
Yeah, it was crooked all the way down. The judge was extremely biased, the lawyers and jury were retarded, and the case itself was even more retarded than them, and never should have proceeded at all.
