We might not ever know the specifics of Carlson's firing, but Fox News is heavily invested in trying to blunt right-wing radicalization, hence hiring Jenner. Carlson flirted with more radical ideas than most of the Fox News crew so that probably plays some sort of role.
I would question anything that follows those words. Even if it was just a list of basic facts, I'd question it.
Either way I'm glad more people are finally on the 'Fuck Fox' train, it has been shit for years and exposed themselves during the election reporting as being part of the problem.

Yup. Carlson is extremely popular, them axing him certainly opened a lot of eyes, and that should be a good thing.
I've heard about half a dozen reasons why he got fired by now.
To be fair, the tendency to reduce motivations to single-factor analysis is the problem. It probably is a constellation of reasons.
