hey look, the UK is actually doing an okay job at one of the few things the government is actually needed for.
If any country can prevent mergers by companies basedin other nations we put blood in the water and open the door for extreme rent-seeking behavior.
both Microsoft and Activision are effectively global companies. They could tell the UK to get fucked and merge anyway, but the UK can say fuck you you can't do business here.
